Just 34 km away from Santiago we will visit Undurraga Vineyard, one of the most iconic wineries in Chile. We will go through their beautiful gardens and century-old cellars and taste some of their excellent wines. After this wonderful visit, we will go to one of the more traditional Chilean towns: Pomaire, known for their clay handicraft and Chilean traditional cuisine. Perfect place for lunch.

Our tour continues down to Isla Negra. Is in this beach resort where the Nobel prize winner, Pablo Neruda, had one of his houses. Neruda is considered to be one of the best and most influential poets of the 20th century, this stone and wood house, shaped like a ship is now a museum, and he and his third wife, Matilde Urrutia, are buried there.

In the Bellavista neighborhood, this Casa Museo called “La Chascona” is located, which was the former residence of the Chilean poet and Nobel Prize for Literature, Pablo Neruda.

This place has its origin in the clandestine life of the poet, who was persecuted along with his comrades from the Communist Party in the decade of the ’40s.

The Casa Museo La Chascona has an audio-guide system. This new system, included in the admission fee, is available in English, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Your visit to the Museum Houses of the Pablo Neruda Foundation does not require prior reservation. Admission is made in order of arrival and is subject to the availability of seats per day. Only school visits must be booked in advance.

Schedule

• March to December: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• January and February: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Closed Monday.
