From your Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, head to the Toconao village, towards the Jerez Canyon (Quebrada de Jerez) where you will be able to see the flora and fauna of this beautiful Valley, located at an altitude of 2.475 mts. Your journey will continue to the fabulous Atacama Salt Flat, the largest in Chile and one of the 5 largest in the world. Continue along a small path to the Chaxa Lagoon. Be delighted by the different species of pink flamingos; this place is a protected flamingo breeding reservoir and declared Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos (National Reserve).
