Departure from your hotel in Coyhaique or from the Balmaceda airport very early in the morning to start the trip along the Carretera Austral Sur towards the town of Puerto Tranquilo, distant at 223Km. In this tour beautiful forests of lenga, ciruelillo, coigüeyñire are contemplated. It crosses a wide valley semi-covered by volcanic ash that remembers the eruption of the Hudson volcano of the year 1991.
During the trip you pass through the Cerro Castillo National Reserve and its town of the same name. There will be stops in the trip for photographs. After approximately 3.5 to 4 hours of travel, you will arrive at Puerto Tranquilo to have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, short transfer to the shores of Lake General Carrera to make the navigation to the Nature Sanctuary "Capillas de Mármol", a place of singular scenic beauty, where the waves of the lake have eroded and polished the limestone, forming caves of A big attraction.
In the afternoon, return to the city of Coyhaique with a stop at Villa de Cerro Castillo to buy a snack if you wish.
