To get to Frutillar we travel along the western shore of Llanquihue Lake. Along the way, we’ll pass through the small industrial town of Llanquihue, where we’ll take a gravel road used by the region’s farmers, with a chance to observe local agricultural and livestock activity. Old German manors, used as lodgings, populate the route. As we arrive in Frutillar you can feel a different atmosphere, combining tranquil living, bright gardens, colorful houses, tea rooms, and the great German Colonial Museum, which shows the history of German settlement in the region.
